Dexter Sanitary District recently approved a new Facilities Plan for an $8 million upgrade to its 40-year old treatment plant below Dexter Dam. Recent rate increases were intended to support this process. The Board of Directors will be considering accepting promise of a $100,000 ARPA grant to perform the groundwater study needed to finalize the new plan at its monthly meeting Monday September 12 at the Dexter Library at 6 PM. Board meetings are open to the public.
Three of the District Board positions are up for election next May. The Board is seeking volunteers for vacant Board positions.
