A record more than 7,600 students graduate from Oregon State University

CORVALLIS, Ore. – A record 7,648 students graduated from Oregon State University during its university-wide commencement ceremony Saturday at Reser Stadium.

An estimated 4,100 students participated in the ceremony that honored the university’s 155th class.

The 7,648 graduates will receive 7,880 degrees. (There will be 232 students receiving two degrees.) They will add to the ranks of OSU alumni, who have earned 295,283 degrees over the university’s history.

Steven Jackson, an Oregon State University alumnus, former Beavers football player, star NFL running back and philanthropist, gave the commencement address.
