By GEORGE CUSTER/Editor/The Herald — Customers of Banner Bank will be unable to use the familiar ATM at the Oakridge Dairy Queen, 47720 Highway 58, after April 6th. A notice was placed on the machine informing patrons of the closure.
The Herald attempted to reach Banner Bank for comment on the reason for the closure. Harri, officer number 31299, passed The Herald’s request onto a manager and was told that a response would be forthcoming in one to two business days. An email request for clarification was also sent Banner Bank.
George Custer lives in Oakridge with his wife Sayre. George is a former smokejumper from his hometown of Cave Junction, a former captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. and ran a construction company in Southern California. George assumed the volunteer duties as the Editor of the Highway 58 Herald in 2022. He loves riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, building all things wood, and playing drums on the weekends in his office.
