By GEORGE CUSTER/Editor  —  At midday on Monday, a joint update from the U.S. Forest Service and Oregon Department of Forestry indicated that the Bedrock Fire, located northeast of Lowell and Fall Creek, has surpassed  3200 acres. However, no evacuations have been issued. Still, residents of the surrounding communities are asked to review evacuation procedures and be prepared in the event of an emergency.

Should any evacuations be placed into effect, information will be released by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

The Herald will continue to update the situation as information becomes available.
