By SUSAN HARDY/ for The Herald — While the blue pinwheels continue to spin and the banner flags continue to wave on the school yard fence, it is easy to remember that it’s April, Child Abuse Prevention Month, and think about child abuse prevention actions and activities in which we might participate. The activities are not finished yet this month. On Sunday, April 24, East Lane 90by30 in partnership with the Oakridge School District and Willamette Lanes will be offering free bowling for students pre-K thropugh 6th grade and their parents (or adult supervision) starting at 1:00 PM. Snacks will be available for sale. In a short time the pinwheels and other reminders will come down, but the work goes on. Bowling Night is one way 90by30 is honoring families during Child Abuse Month. Working to decrease child abuse is an ongoing job! There are many ways to get involved and be part of the ongoing work that is being done in East Lane County. Learn how to get involved! Get involved at 90by30.com.
