The winning candidates and their percentage of votes received are as follows:
Lowell council position 2: Jimmy Murry 95.84%
Lowell council position 3: Maureen Weathers 97.50%
Lowell council position 5: Gail Harris 96.89%
Oakridge council position (2-year): Thadeus Carter 56.02%
Oakridge council position (4-year): Kelly Brewer 24.38%
Marty Scott 19.72%
Aaron Davis 21.32%
Westfir mayoral position: Shawn Anderson 91.01%
Westfir council position: Linda M. Love 79.63%
Write-in 12.96%
Oakridge measure 20-363 (Charter revision) passed
Oakridge measure 20-364 (STAR voting) defeated
George Custer lives in Oakridge with his wife Sayre. George is a former smokejumper from his hometown of Cave Junction, a former captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. and ran a construction company in Southern California. George assumed the volunteer duties as the Editor of the Highway 58 Herald in 2022. He loves riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, building all things wood, and playing drums on the weekends in his office.
