The City of Lowell is experiencing a city-side water outage due to a breakage in a water main. The breakage occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022.
The City’s Public Works crews are currently responding to the issue. The estimated timeframe for water service to be restored is within 4 to 6 hours. Due to the loss in pressure, the City of Lowell is under a boil water advisory until further notice. Check the City website throughout the day for updates: https://www.ci.lowell.or.us
During the boil water advisory, use bottled or boiled water for:
Drinking and cooking
Brushing teeth
Washing fruits and vegetables
Preparing food
Mixing baby formula
Making ice
Giving water to pets
2 of 2
If bottled water is not available, bring water to a full rolling boil for 1 minute. After boiling,
allow the water to cool before use.
Boil tap water even if it is filtered (for example, by a home water filter or a pitcher that filters water).
Do not use water from any appliance connected to your water line, such as ice and water
from a refrigerator.
