Each year, Concerts in the Park gets better and better. Gregg Stewart, on guitar at center-left, leads his Roadhouse Band through at set at the amphitheater at Greenwaters Park in Oakridge in a previous year’s concert.

By JANET HANSEN/for The Herald  —  It’s already been a year, and Concerts in the Park is back with a one and done date, June15 beginning at 2 PM. It’s a perfect kickoff to hot town, summer in the city.

Latin jazz ensemble, BongoLatte kicks off the fun on the Greenwaters Amphitheater lawn at 2 PM. At 4 PM Banter Waves is an instrumental power trio highlighting some of America’s most beloved genres. Then at 6 PM Inner Limits, a crowd favorite, will close out the evening with blues/rock taking their influence from iconic songwriters and legendary bands.

In addition to and complementing the outdoor concert experience, there will be a Beer Garden, food and craft vendors. Falling Sky and Hop Valley Breweries are featured beers, along with Angry Orchard Ciders, and red and white wine varietals.

Bring the kids, a blanket and your sunscreen.  Pack a picnic or purchase food from vendors on site and enjoy this time honored event.

Concerts in the Park is proudly sponsored by many local businesses, breweries, as well as Oakridge and Westfir Rural Tourism Marketing Programs, The Bus Fair, and Baxter Plumbing.
