Another toasty summer week of live entertainment is on tap for music lovers in the Oakridge area.
Venues include the community’s most familiar ones: Deep Woods Distillery, Lion Mountain Bakery and 3 Legged Crane Pub and Brewhouse. A fourth venue venue is being added to the mix — Odell Lake Lodge and Resort, which isn’t exactly in Oakridge, but it’s become part of the Oakridge entertainment scene.
Bands and entertainers booked in the area this week include Song Dawgz, Stoner and Broken Horn, all of Oakridge, plus Ripple Vision, a band with strong Oakridge ties.
The following is a guide to this entertainment, broken down by venue:
Deep Woods Distillery
The Oakridge Art Council and Deep Woods Distillery present the Alt-Country Music and Arts Faire this Saturday, July 10, at the Distillery Garden (Insensitive Wetlands), 48217 E. First St. in the historic Uptown district of Oakridge. Art will be on display (and sale) from noon until close at 9 p.m.
The Whiskey Wagon will be providing beverages beginning at 2 p.m., and Stoner opens the music around 4 p.m., followed by Ripple Vision at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 and the Buen Dia food truck will be on-site serving Mexican cuisine from noon to 8 p.m.
Other coming attractions this month at Deep Woods Distillery: Satori Bob, July 17; Stewart’s Roadhouse Band, July 24; Peter Wilde and Laura Kemp, July 31.
3 Legged Crane Pub and Brewhouse
The Oakridge band Song Dawgz will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 8, at 3 Legged Crane Pub and Brewhouse at 48329 E. First St. The trio — Ben Olson, Gary Battles and Keith Dailey — are booked for those hours every Thursday at the pub for the rest of the summer and into fall.
Their Thursday gigs at the pub always include an open-mic session.
Lion Mountain Bakery
Singer-songwriter Broken Horn performs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and on Friday evenings during the 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. dinners at Lion Mountain Bakery at 47781 Highway 58. Accompanying himself on guitar, Broken Horn offers an eclectic mix of rhythm and blues, rock, country, pop and original compositions.
Odell Lake Lodge and Resort
The Song Dawgz are booked from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 10, on the outdoor terrace of the dining room at Odell Lake Lodge and Resort. The band is also booked at the lodge for those hours on July 31 and Aug. 14.
