Oakridge Concerts in the Park has announced a change in the lineup of bands scheduled to perform in a day-long free concert set for Saturday, Aug. 21, at Greenwaters Park.
The Eugene-based country-rock band Haywire is being replaced by another Eugene band, Inner Limits. The blues/funk/rock trio has become widely popular at events around the region for its unique arrangements of classic hits and its tight vocal harmonies on original compositions.
Also booked are Country Moonshine, featuring former Oakridge residents Don and Amy Kordosky, and Stewart’s Roadhouse Band, led by singer-guitarist Gregg Stewart of Oakridge.
Carina Schorer of Oakridge, one of the organizers, said the concert is set for noon to 8:30 p.m. Country Moonshine will open the show at the Banner Bank Amphitheater, followed by Stewart’s Roadhouse Band.
Inner Limits will now be the closing act, Schorer said.
Food vendors will be on site, and a beer garden is planned, she said.
Schorer is joined in the undertaking by Rustie Ackland, Evonne Lowery and Rene Gobelman. They’ve been putting on the free concerts since 2014. Funds disbursed by the city through the Rural Tourism Marketing Program help pay for the bands and other concert-related expenses.
