Eugene motorcyclist killed in crash on Highway 58

A 43-year-old Eugene man died Friday morning, April 2, in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 58 near the Interstate 5 northbound on-ramp near Goshen, Oregon State Police report.

Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the motorcycle crash at about 6:45 a.m. On Friday, April 2, 2021 at approximately 6:45 a.m. Preliminary investigation revealed a Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Travis Weyer of Eugene, left the roadway and crashed.

Weyer sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, OSP reported. The agency was assisted by the Goshen Fire Department and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
