The Register-Guard, Oregon’s largest daily newspaper, has published a comprehensive examination of the community’s months of strife over the performance of Supt. Reta Doland
The Eugene paper reported new information on the conflict involving Supt. Reta Doland, a target of months of criticism from parents and teachers who complain said has created a hostile work and learning environment in the school district. In a lengthy investigative story published Tuesday, Reporter Jordyn Brown disclosed that besides a well-publicized complaint filed against Doland in December, four other complaints have been filed against her this school year, including one from the Oakridge Teacher’s Association.
The newspaper, Oregon’s largest daily with circulation ranging from 43,000 to 47,000, filed a Freedom of Information Act request in able to learn about the complaints. Read the full story here (subscription required).
