A recent edition of Eugene Weekly features two in-depth stories on significant developments in Oakridge. One piece, reported and written by Henry Houston, explores the fight by Oakridge-Westfir residents to block plans for a large-scale rock quarry on TV Butte at the east end of Oakridge. The second piece, also by Houston, is a first-person account of playing a round at the Old Mill Disc Golf Course, a championship-level course built by volunteers during the pandemic and opened to the public in January. Both stories appeared in Eugene Weekly’s May 6 print edition.
