Fundraising for The Herald: Locals are stepping up in huge number

The Herald rose up to answer the call to provide a form of open and professionalism journalism for our rural communities. All the while, news sources around the country, particularly in rural America, have shuttered their doors.

It hasn’t been easy. Your donations have kept The Herald afloat since our meager beginning nearly three years ago. Our volunteers are still working hard to keep our communities informed. We’re open 24/7. That means that we will endeavor to post news, information, and stories as they happen.

Everyone at The Herald appreciates the donations that we’ve received. However, as we grow, so does our need to support our operation. To be the best news source that we can be for our communities, we need funds to help us grow.

All of us at The Herald want to thank all of you who have made a donation to support local journalism.

If you are reading this, it’s because of the support of our community members and dedicated readers to keep The Herald’s doors open.

if you haven’t had time, or it has just slipped your mind, please donate to the Highway 58 Herald. Your dollars, however large or small, make the difference between our communities having a news site dedicated to the types of news and information that is about our rural cities and towns, or becoming just one more “news desert”.

Go to the yellow “DONATE” button on the green dropdown menu at the top of the front page and there you’ll find how to send your donation.

Thank you for supporting local journalism.
