By GARY CARL/For The Herald — The Hays Oil Company, headquartered in Medford, Oregon, is renovating their cardlock station on Hwy 58. It’s located near Hampton Landing between mile post markers, 25 and 26 on Hwy 58. Hays Oil Co. is a third-generation company and is privately owned. They specialize in commercial fleet fueling services, bulk fuel supply and lubricants. They currently own about 14 card lock stations. They are part of the CFN (Cardlock Fueling Stations) national network.
The Highway 58 Herald visited the work site the other day and spoke with Erik Diehm, Foreman for 4C’s Environmental Inc., the company handling the project for Hays. Erik reported that the underground tanks are in good shape. They’re practically new, he continued, but they are adding a new center island with new pumps and making some electrical and underground improvements. 4C’s specializes in petroleum construction services.
Diehm told the Herald that the project was expected to be completed by December 31st, 2021. However, weather and holidays might interfere with that target.
