By GEORGE CUSTER/Interin Editor — Having missed out on having the event last year due to COVID restrictions, the 1st Street Holiday Market was back on Friday and Saturday and was held in the Oakridge Museum building on 1st Street in Oakridge. The Market’s organizers, Marsha Ledbetter and Mary Ann Scholl, approached the Oakridge Museum Board two years ago to organize a joint crafts fair, using the museum’s large meeting for the event.
Though the event skipped last year, it picked up right where it left off rom two years ago. The museum had a booth selling handmade crafts and sold raffle tickets. Handmade wares and gifts of all kinds lined the room. “The market did very well on Friday” said Marsha. Saturday’s event was still underway when this reporter strolled in for a peak.
