Illa passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Eugene, Oregon. She was 84 years old.
Illa was Born February 19, 1940, in Naches, Washington, to Clinton and Laveta Dimmick (Bailey). A 1958 graduate of Westfir High School in Westfir, Oregon, Illa married Jack L. Fine in July of the same year and together they raised two daughters, Della and Jackie.
In the early 1960’s Illa started working for Lucky-U Market. She continued with this career path until she retired in her early sixties. Her husband, Jack, passed away at their family home in Oakridge in 2003, he was 70 years old. Shortly after his passing, Illa went to work part-time for the U.S. Forest Service.
Illa loved making her house a home, decorating, painting, and making flower arrangements and wreaths. She was an amazing seamstress making clothes for her daughters and grandchildren throughout the years, and later creating beautiful quilts.
Illa is survived by her two daughters, Della DeRoche (Ron) and Jackie Fine. Her Brothers, Barry Dimmick and Larry Dimmick (Anna). Her grandchildren, Jackie Devereaux (Lauren), and their two sons Lincoln and Wally, Dustin Hemmele (Jennifer), and their son Jensen. Joey Devereaux, (Kathryn), Deric Hemmele (Katelynn), and their daughter Harper. Libby Jensen, Mitchell Jensen, Bronti DeRoche, Jami Devereaux and his two sons Tristan & Bryson and two daughters Danielle and Jayden. Four Nieces and seven Nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Jack, her parents, Clinton and Laveta, and two older brothers, Dean and Grant.
