Working from sketches taped to the building’s wall, Curt Harville and Su Stella spruce up the Inbound LLC owl logo while business founder Dillon Sanders, below, offers encouragement Friday in Uptown Oakridge.

A HIGH LEVEL OF ARTISTRY: Oakridge artists Curt Harville and Su Stella work high on a scaffold Friday, Oct. 15, embellishing the artwork surrounding the logo for Inbound LLC, the wildland-firefighting contracting company based on East First Street in Uptown Oakridge. Inbound managing director Dillon Sanders, at center, has commissioned a number of Oakridge-Westfir artists to help enhance the business headquarters, housed in what served as the community’s Chevrolet dealership for many decades.

In the 17 years since Sanders founded the contracting business, he has had a number of striking murals created on the building’s exterior. One of them, “The Protector” by Su Stella, has been moved indoors after sustaining weather damage.

Sanders, however, says local artists did not create Inbound’s owl logo. He selected that himself from a commercial clip-art service.

Besides providing firefighting services, Inbound LLC also assists the state of Oregon and the federal government with disaster relief activities of all types.
