NOTICE OF SALE:
The City of Westfir has declared as surplus a 1997 Ford F-150 4WD truck. The City will sell the vehicle to the highest bidder with a minimum price set at the vehicle’s mid-Kelley Blue Book value of $1,200. Written, sealed bids accompanied by a deposit check [made payable to City of Westfir] in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price will be received at City Hall until 2:00 p.m. on the 28th day of February.
Bids will be opened at that time and the successful high bidder will be contacted. The high bidder has five (5) days from the date of notification to pay the balance of the purchase price to the City. The balance must be paid in the form of a bank check or money order. If such payment is not made within five (5) days, the City may keep the ten percent (10%) check as liquidated damages, then proceed to sell to the second highest bidder under its terms.
The vehicle is sold “as is”, “where is”, with no warranties of any kind, including express or implied warranties regarding fitness for any particular purpose. Upon receipt of payment in full, the City will provide the free and clear title to the vehicle to the successful bidder. The vehicle may be inspected at City Hall between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2: 00 p.m., on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. For more information: https://www.ci.westfir.or.us; or 541-782-3983.
