By SUSAN HARDY/for The Herald — The very first Children’s Art Walk featuring works by local children was exhibited in front of the Oakridge Post Office Saturday afternoon. Susan Hardy, representing East Lane 90 by 30, set up over 25 works of art created in Laurie O’Neil and Mrs. Jackson’s preschool and Head Start classes.
The display was at eye level for the younger crowd and was enjoyed by adults coming and going at the post office. East Lane 90 by 30 was proud to sponsor this free and fun activity to share the point of view of our youngest community members. Thank you to the postmaster for lending the space in front of the post office out of the weather.
And a big thank you to Lynda Kamerrer for her help in getting us started. This is a project that 90by30 would like to continue.
