Good news for Oakridge mountain bike riders: A Lane County technical advisory committee has begun work on the county’s first-ever countywide bicycle master plan, aimed at improving the safety and comfort of cyclists on narrow county roads. Some of the suggestions include widening the shoulders of the more narrow roads where bicyclers feel uncomfortable because of the proximity with cars.
