The City of Lowell will be lighting up Christmas decorations on the Lowell Covered Bridge and tree this Saturday, December 3 at 5 pm. The public is invited.
City Administrator, Jeremy Caudle, said, “The main event is when we turn off all the lights in the covered bridge. Mayor Bennett then leads everyone in a countdown, and we light the Christmas tree and turn on all the lights. It’s well-attended. I’d say at least, if not more than, 100 people participated last year. It’s a chance for the whole community to come together, socialize, and get in the holiday spirit.”
The Grange provides cookies, hot drinks, and other treats. There will also be Christmas carolers and Santa Claus, of course.
Most, if not all, of the city council will be there. I’ll be there, as well.

Parking is at the high school parking lot, with overflow parking at the new city hall at 70 N Pioneer St. We shuttle people down to the bridge on school buses.

“We hope to see you there.” Please call the City Administrator, Jeremy Caudle, if you have any questions at 541-359-8768.
