EUGENE, Ore. —(January 29, 2024)— The LTD System Review is underway and Lane Transit District wants to make sure everyone in the area has had the opportunity to participate. With expertise from consulting firm Nelson Nygaard, LTD wants to identify opportunities for improving fixed route service in the Eugene-Springfield area. LTD will also examine rural route service within Lane County.
Information from the “Design Your System Improvements” survey will be used to develop short- and long-term improvement recommendations. These reviews are conducted every three years – this one is LTD’s second.
The survey asks the public to take into consideration what they value most in a public transit system – the answers will help LTD further develop services that incorporate the community’s priorities.
LTD is reaching out to community organizations (in both English and Spanish), area school districts, local businesses, and the general public to ensure the highest level of engagement with people of all ages.
The survey closes on Monday, March 1. LTD plans to identify service improvement options by the summer of 2024.
