By KIRIN STRYKER/for The Herald — The Middle Fork Bistro, the charming food truck and beverage garden in Uptown Oakridge, opened under new ownership for the 2024 season. Lev and Kirin Stryker, the owners of Cog Wild Bicycle Tours took over the Bistro when they purchased the property in December, 2023.
“The Middle Fork Bistro is a complement to Cog Wild, our mountain bike guiding and shuttle service. We have spent years looking for the right location and this is the place! We’re excited to provide fresh, healthy food and beverages to our clients after their time on the trail and to add some variety to the food scene for Oakridge locals.” says Lev Stryker.
A seasonal business, The Middle Fork Bistro is open Thursday – Sunday from 3:30 to 8:30 for salads with grilled meat, tacos with a variety of fillings, light snacks, draft beer, cocktails with fresh squeezed juice and non-alcoholic drinks. Starting in August, the Bistro will debut online ordering so folks can pick up food and beverages to go when the weather isn’t conducive to eating outside.
Early in the week and during the slow winter months, the Bistro’s commercial kitchen is available for rent to the Oakridge community. Lev and Kirin Stryker are also looking for additional food trucks or other tourism based businesses to share the space. If you are interested in renting the kitchen or operating another small business at this location please send a proposal to
