By GEORGE CUSTER/Editor — The driver of this vehicle didn’t figure this predicament serious enough to contact the police department. The mishap occurred sometime before 4 p.m. Monday afternoon. Just another rush hour incident.
A neighbor adjacent to the mishap at the corner of Oak Street and Westoak Road came to the assistance of two young ladies. They appeared to be somewhat trapped in the car. After helping them to exit the vehicle, the two unidentified ladies called for a tow truck but failed to notify Oakridge police of the situation.
Once the tow truck company had been called, the two were seen to catch a ride with friends and left the scene.
Oakridge police department was notified by persons in the area and responded. Traffic control was instituted pending the arrival of a tow truck.
The identities of the driver and passenger were unknown at the time of this report. Police at the scene said there were no apparent injuries.
