By GEORGE CUSTER/for The Herald  — Oakridge Elementary School. Second grade teachers Lisa King and Rich McGill asked their students to take some time to write their wish list to Santa Claus while in class recently.

The school staff offered a copy to The Herald. This way it would also be available to Santa online, just in case any of the letters were eaten by the family dog before being sent out to delivery to the North Pole.

Santa won’t have to check his list. Every letter assured Saint Nick that the author of the letter had been a good child, though a few hedged their bets by saying that they had been “pretty good”. I’m sure Santa will give them the benefit of any doubt.

The Herald staff did spot a couple of promising journalists among the letter writers.

Please excuse the light printing on a number of the letters. We did try to darken them down. Not to worry though, Santa has special glasses that lets him read ANYTHING!.
