Delaney Freeman, daughter of Dianna Church & Robert Blankenship, was voted by the fellow students to be the Oakridge High School
Homecoming Queen.
Ms. Freeman has been accepted to Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls where she will be studying Pre-Medical Imaging Technology after her graduation this coming June.
Delaney, who is a senior, is also the Oakridge High School student body President this year. She loves working with children and working with the student council. Born in Vancouver Washington, Delaney was schooled, until 6th grade, in Prairie City Oregon. She started sixth grade here in Oakridge and has excelled ever since.
Congratulations, Delaney. We know you’ll shine at what ever life brings before you.
George Custer lives in Oakridge with his wife Sayre. George is a former smokejumper from his hometown of Cave Junction, a former captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. and ran a construction company in Southern California. George assumed the volunteer duties as the Editor of the Highway 58 Herald in 2022. He loves riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, building all things wood, and playing drums on the weekends in his office.
