Oakridge library to hold evening fundraiser

Oakridge Library Gala Fundraiser: Come Visit The ‘Library After Dark’!

On Saturday, October 21st at 6pm, the Oakridge Public Library will open its doors for an evening gala. Come bid on local art and other fine items at the silent auction. All proceeds will go towards purchasing educational children’s materials for the library. There will be no cover charge. Beer and wine will be served. Come to the library after dark to have a good time and support a good cause!

George Custer lives in Oakridge with his wife Sayre. George is a former smokejumper from his hometown of Cave Junction, a former captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. and ran a construction company in Southern California. George assumed the volunteer duties as the Editor of the Highway 58 Herald in 2022. He loves riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, building all things wood, and playing drums on the weekends in his office.
