SPRINGFIELD – Main Street in downtown Springfield, also known as OR 126, will be temporarily closed on the evening of Friday, Sept. 8 for the Springfield Block Party. Main Street will close to all vehicles from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. between Pioneer Parkway East and 7th Street. A convenient detour route will be available for local westbound traffic using 7th Street and C Street. Highway traffic will divert via 28th Street or 14th Street/Mohawk Blvd. Organizers appreciate the public’s understanding and patience during the temporary closure. We wish all attendees a remarkable time at the Springfield Block Party. |

George is a former smokejumper from his hometown of Cave Junction, a former captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. and ran a construction company in Southern California. George assumed the volunteer duties as the Editor of the Highway 58 Herald in 2022. He loves riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, building all things wood, and playing drums on the weekends in his office.
