ODOT will be installing rumble strips on Hwy58 this year. Rumble strips are grooves in the pavement that create vibration and sound to alert drivers that they are leaving a lane.
They will also be resurfacing a bridge, paving and applying permanent striping to an 8-mile section of Hwy58 that is in poor condition. These projects will create a smoother ride and preserve the road so more costly repairs aren’t needed in the future.
During construction you can expect:
- Lane an shoulder closures with automated flaggers helping direct traffic.
- Construction noise and delays.
The Herald will attempt to provide dates when made available.
