ODVA and Metro Tri-County Veterans Services Offices to Host Women Veteran Luncheon in honor of Women’s History Month

The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs and Washington, Multnomah and Clackamas County Veteran Services Offices invite women veterans to a Women Veteran Luncheon to celebrate Women’s History Month and Women’s Military History Week in Oregon.

The luncheon will take place Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Portland-Lake Oswego (14811 Kruse Oaks Drive, Lake Oswego). The luncheon will honor this year’s National theme of Women who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and features women veteran guest speakers who are leaders in our Oregon communities, while celebrating women of all eras and branches of military service who have served in the United States Armed Forces throughout our country’s history.

Luncheon guest speakers are U.S. Army veterans Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs Director Dr. Nakeia Council Daniels, Beaverton Mayor Lacey Beaty, and Hillsboro City Councilor Beach Pace. The luncheon is free for Women Veterans to attend.

George is a former smokejumper from his hometown of Cave Junction, a former captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. and ran a construction company in Southern California.
