The OSU Extension Service in Lane County has announced the hiring of Heather Buley to serve the communities of Lowell, Oakridge and Westfir. Heather, who lives in Oakridge, will have a permanent office along East First Street in Oakridge and will teach gardening, cooking, healthy living and 4-H programs and classes in local schools.

There will be a community open house to meet Heather and learn more about Extension Service programs in the region later this year.
