By BEN OLSON/For The Herald — The Oregon State University Extension Service will be having a citizens’ forum at the Lion Mountain Bakery this Friday evening at 6 p.m. They are trying to determine how to best use their resources in all parts of Lane County. This will be an opportunity for residents in the Upper Willamette valley to give their views and ideas on how the Extension programs can be of the best benefit to all those who would like to use the services provided.
In 2021, Lane County voters approved a levy to support increased funding for the OSU Extension Service in this county. This funding will allow the Lane County Extension to provide additional support for existing programs and possibly expand their offerings.
Taking part in the workshop this Friday will help shape recommendations for program building in our community and up and down the Highway 58 corridor.
Coffee and doughnuts will be served.
