By LYDIA PLAHN/DEAN REA/for The Herald — The 27th annual Blackberry Jam Festival parade will begin at 11 a.m. this coming Saturday, and festivities are scheduled to conclude at 4 p.m. Sunday in downtown Lowell.
Local craft and food vendors will be on hand at the festival site in Rolling Rock Park.
Musical performances are scheduled during the weekend by Molly Martinka, Badlands, Fox Hollow Boys and the Alder Street Band.

11 a.m. Parade
12 p.m. Dr. Delusions Illusions Magic Show
12 p.m. Corn Hole Tournaments
12:30 p.m. Coins in the hay
1 p.m. Springfield K9 Unit Demonstration and Grease Pole Climb
2-3:00 p.m. Band: Molly Martinka
4 p.m. Coins in the hay, and Crawl, Drag, & Squirt Contest
4-6 p.m. Band: Badlands
4:30 p.m. Grease Pole Climb
5 p.m. Registration: Horseshoe Tournament
7:30-9:30 p.m. Band: Fox Hollow Boys
Sunday, July 30
9 a.m. East Valley Church Service @ Stage
12 p.m. Dr. Delusions Illusions Magic Show @ Stage
1 p.m. Coins in the hay
1:30 p.m. Grease Pole Climb Finale

George Custer lives in Oakridge with his wife Sayre. George is a former smokejumper from his hometown of Cave Junction, a former captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. and ran a construction company in Southern California. George assumed the volunteer duties as the Editor of the Highway 58 Herald in 2022. He loves riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, building all things wood, and playing drums on the weekends in his office.
