Anyone interested hiking trails near Oakridge is welcome to join a virtual (Zoom) meeting to be hosted Monday by the U.S. Forest Service and the nonprofit Southern Willamette Forest Collaborative.
The Middle Fork Ranger District already provides nearly two miles of looping trails in the Willamette National Forest just across the river from the city’s Greenwaters Park and accessible by footbridge. The agency, in cooperation with the nonprofit group, proposes adding about three miles of additional trail in the riverside area this coming summer. Learn more about the project at https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=59771
Information about the 5 p.m. Monday, April 26, meeting can be found here.
The public comment period for this project closes on Friday, May 7.
