Eugene, Ore. — Senior Meals Program, Senior & Disability Services is excited to announce the reopening of more Senior Meals Program Café 60s locations in Lane County. The program, part of Lane Council of Governments (LCOG), has been on hiatus for the past three years. Café 60s provide a dine-in experience to Lane County seniors who might otherwise go hungry.

Northwest Neighbors (Eugene) reopened on July 31. It operates on Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. at 1221 Jacobs Drive, Eugene.

Oakridge reopened on September 5. It operates on Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at church of the Nazarene at 48187 Highway 58, Oakridge.

Junction City reopened on September 6. It operates on Monday and Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Viking Sal Senior Center at 245 W. 5th Avenue, Junction City.

Creswell reopened on September 18. It operates on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Cresview Villa at 350 S. 2nd Street, Creswell.

Cottage Grove reopened on September 19. It operates on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at 700 E. Biggs Avenue, Cottage Grove.

Veneta reopened on October 2. It operates on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Fern Ridge Senior Center at 25035 W. Broadway Avenue, Veneta.

All participants have a choice between two main dishes each day. And fun fact, each meal provides at least one third of your daily nutritional requirements!

We request our participants make reservations at least one week in advance by calling or stopping by the nearest Café 60 location and fill out a reservation menu, to ensure we order enough food from our caterer (plus this ensures you get what you want to eat). The list of locations is at https://www.lcog.org/sdslane/page/senior-meals-program.

Anyone who is 60 years of age or over, and their spouse of any age, are eligible to dine with us at no cost. For people who aren’t yet 60 are always welcome to join us at the cost of the meal, which is $8.00.

Café 60 locations are eager to welcome new volunteers to serve our local seniors. If you would like to be part of this wonderful program, please call 541-682-1366.
