The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public in investigating a reported robbery of a convenience store on Highway 58 just southeast of Eugene.
The agency said that an employee of Lee’s Highway 58 Market at 34500 Highway 58 reported that the business had just been robbed at about 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7. Deputies responded and learned that a white male adult had threatened an employee with pepper spray and demanded cash from the till. The male then departed with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a white male adult approximately 30 to 40 years old with a thin build. The suspect left the scene westbound toward Interstate 5 in an older sedan, reports said.
Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Lane County Sheriff’s Office at 541-682-4150 opt. #2.
According to the store’s website, Lee’s Highway 58 Market opened its doors on Oct. 15, 2011. “It is owned and operated by an American-Korean family dedicated to serving the local population for their all-day grocery needs,” the website says.
