The Herald to add two new sections: Book Reviews and Simple Solutions

We at The Herald are pleased to announce the creation of two new categories, or sections, for our readers’ enjoyment and to contribute to.

Share a good read with The Herald

The Book Review section came out of conversations with several “bookworms”, some of which admitted to belonging to a local book club that meets regularly at the various members’ residences. However, all are open to submit reviews of a recent “good read” to share with The Herald’ s readership. Please submit via instructions that you can find on The Herald’s website for submissions.

Give us your name and your thoughts on your recent read. Please refrain from inflammatory political and obvious religious readings. The Herald reserves the right not to publish reviews thar are deemed not in keeping with good journalism and The Herald’s standards for good taste.

Simple solutions that work

Secondly, Simple Solutions is a column that will give readers small, but useful ideas to save money right in your own home. Simple solutions will, hopefully, give you more bang for your buck when shopping, cleaning, preserving meals, and much more. Also, for you DYI folks, there will be hacks that will help you around the house for small repairs, techniques, and other ideas to make your life a little easier. Reader response is encouraged, and advice is welcome. Your name will be credited with your “life hacks” if included in the column.

Start looking for both sections in the “News” dropdown on The Herald’s home page. We appreciate your patronage. Happy reading!
