To all moms out there: you deserve more than a day

We all have them. Great presidents had them. conquerors had them. Nobel scientists had them. Maybe it was too wordy to say it’s Presidents and their mother’s day. I’m sure there would be controversy if November 11th were called Veterans and their mother’s day.

Regardless, every person, great and small, had a mother. They brought us into this world. I’m sure I’ve never met a woman who was overjoyed at carrying us around for nine months in their womb. Then, these same women carried us around in their arms, and then on their hip for several more years.

I’ve tried carrying a young child on my hip. Hey guys, I don’t know how they do it. Five minutes and I was like “somebody take this child!” Women turn into some kind of super beings when they have children.

Forget pilates, forget CrossFit. Take care of a small child for a day and you’ll get all the workout you’ll need.

So, yes, mothers deserve a day. Maybe they should get one once a month.

Hug them, kiss them, tell them that you love them. They are part of you, and you are part of them.
