As Thursday’s 5 p.m. filing deadline looms, a school bus driver and a teacher have filed to run for the Oakridge School Board in the May 18 election.
Lisa Samuelson, a driver for First Student school buses, and Stacy Tindall, and elementary school teacher and counselor, have filed for Oakridge’s Position 3 board seat currently held by Tami Edmunds, who has not filed for re-election or publicly announced her intentions.
Physician Charles Ross is so far the only candidate for the Position 5 seat currently held by Board Chairman John Weddle, who has not publicly stated his plans.
Board member Susan Hardy, a former teacher, has filed for re-election to her Position 2 seat and remains so far unopposed
