In recent worldly news, it has come to THE WORLD’s attention that the government has known of the existence of things that do not belong.
On July 26, 2023, a House of Representatives Hearing was held. During this Hearing, several former government employees (all holding different titles) came forward to tell how the United States government has failed to inform the public of evidence (past and present) of extraterrestrial life forms.
At this Hearing, David Grusch, a man who was a national reconnaissance officer representative of the UAP Task Force at the U.S. Department of Defense. Stated that the Pentagon has in its possession several items that are “non-human.” Things like crashed vehicles and biological remains.
Grusch had limited his speech and was open about that fact. There were several other questions asked, but David refused to answer. Specific details of what he had seen and documented while employed by the government went unanswered. Grusch made it apparent that he was held under “oath” not to speak on certain things. Not “on record,” that is.
I found this very interesting. That “off the record, on the record” phrase David highlights. It’s the conversation we always see in movies whenever something sinister happens. The cousin to the other famous phrase I plead the fifth!” NO ONE wants any part of accountability.
You probably have the same thoughts as everyone else as you read this. The Smithsonian Magazine covered a lot of these questions. I found this specific paragraph in their article Whistleblower Alleges U.S. Government Is Covering Up Alien Life at UFO Hearing (1) very interesting. “…When asked whether anyone had been harmed or injured to cover up information about extraterrestrial technology, Grusch answered yes…when asked if anyone had been murdered, he said he had to be careful…Grusch also alleged that the military had misused funds for other programs to reverse-engineer some of the supposedly non-human technology…”
From the accounts of this hearing, let’s recap what we have learned:
- There is documentation from governmental employees of extraterrestrial life form findings
- There are “space crafts, saucers” that have been found and are in the government’s possession
- The government also holds “remains” belonging to something not humanlike
- The government has gone to extreme lengths to cover all this information up so no one else will find ou
- No one being
- The public
- Other governmental agencies
- The media
- The secrets out
Okay, okay. That last one, “The Secrets Out,” feels like a bad taste of dry humor. Instead, it is a small hit of irony. Grusch’s account was not the first and only case of an eyewitness coming out and telling their tale of the unheard. It’s just the middle. It’s not the first or the last. There will likely be other accounts on different days in the future, just like there were other accounts on different days in the past.
That’s right- there is a list. A list of other stories told of things that we, in the government’s opinion, should not hear. I have gathered a few of these stories—paragraphs filled with information about UFOs (unidentified flying objects). The most recent term utilized is UFA (unidentified flying anomalous phenomena). Some of these you might even remember.
In March of 1639, John Winthrop garnered 15 minutes of fame without asking for it. Winthrop kept a diary of all the things he knew. The diary was found and read. Winthrop’s entries held some interesting stories about the unknown.
On March 1, 1639, Winthrop wrote about a story of a strange sighting. History.com(2) has an article about his diary entries. It is a super easy read. I suggest you look into it. This article states how, in his diary, Winthop told a story of three men in a boat on some water. America’s First UFO Sighting
(3) an article on History.com(2) that references America’s First UFO Sighting Was Way Earlier Than You Think | Higgypop Paranormal
(4) “…when they saw a great light in the night sky… it flamed up, and was about three yards square…when it ran, it was contracted into the figure of a swine…after two to three hours, the boatmen said that the mysterious light “ran as swift as an arrow, darting back and forth between them and the village of Charlestown, a distance of approximately two miles. Diverse other credible persons saw the same light, after, about the same place…”
This sighting was one of many Winthrop had written of. Years later, in 1644, he wrote about another account. “…dated January 18, 1644. About midnight, three men, coming in a boat to Boston, saw two lights arise out of the water near the north point of the town cove, in form like a man and went at a small distance to the town and so to the south point, and there vanished away…”
A week later, he wrote of another incident, and then a week after that, another.
In March of 1915, the United States formed NACA- National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (5). NACA was supposed to help with researching aircraft. This committee was supposed to know all the ins and outs of our U.S. aircrafts. Any questions, comments, or concerns anyone would have would be sent in their direction. If it flew, they knew, and how.
In June of 1947, there was a pilot by the name of Kenneth Arnold who had reported seeing a UFO. Not only was it his report, but it was the first report of its kind. News of it spread like wildfire. Here is a brief story of that report.
On June 24, 1947, in Mount Ranier, Washington. Kenneth Arnold was heading home from a business trip. He took a detour on his flight to look for a downed plane. This plane had been in the news, and a reward was set as a finder’s fee. Kenneth wanted to try to find this missing plane.
Just before 3 p.m. at 9,200 feet, Kenneth saw what he explained as a bright flashing light. At first, Kenneth thought this could have been from another aircraft. Upon searching his surroundings roughly 15 miles away to the left and slightly behind, he located another aircraft. Kenneth assumed this was where the light had come from. Possibly a reflection of some sort of other aircraft.
Thirty seconds after seeing the first flash of light, Kenneth saw another series of flashes 20-25 miles to his left. At this point, Kenneth was unsure what those flashes were. The situation seemed odd, so Kenneth employed a series of “tests” to help him distinguish what they could be. He checked for daily wear, as in a dirt speck or smear. Kenneth also did a reflection check, ensuring it was not from the sun. Every test, every what if he ran through it was not.
According to Wikipedia’s’ article: Kenneth Arnold UFO Sighting (6) “…Arnold would state he likened their movement to saucers skipping on water, without comparing their actual shapes to saucers….but initial quotes from him do indeed have him comparing the shape to a “saucer,” “disc,” “pie pan,” or “half moon,” or generally convex and thin….”
So far, this was the craziest story told in the state of Washington in 1947. It was not like anything anyone had ever heard of- at least not in the United States! As you can imagine, the story of the flashing floating lights made headlines. Everywhere you went. You heard the story Kenneth Arnold had to tell of the “flying discs, the flying saucers” in the sky.
This article discusses how “… Arnold’s description of the objects also led to the press quickly coining the terms flying saucer (7) and flying disc as popular descriptive terms for UFOs…”
As this incident was investigated, several other people across that region came forward with their own accounts of the same event. These flying saucers had been seen in several different areas of Washington. Not far from where Kenneth Arnold had his sighting. They did what they could. Keep in mind what Arnold was claiming at the time. We had no real explanation for it. Back in 1947, our knowledge of outer space was bleak. Consider that the first moon landing, One Giant Leap For Mankind (8), did not happen for another 22 years!
Now, just think: two decades before the infamous moon landing, in which our technology and knowledge of the world outside our own was very slim. When Kenneth Arnold spotted those flashes in the sky, NASA had not yet formed! No other governmental entity was researching and studying the space outside our own.
In July of 1947, just a month after Kenneth Arnold’s sightings, the Roswell Army Air Field personnel, located 3 miles south of Roswell, New Mexico, found some stuff located on their airfield. According to Wikipedia.org, the Roswell Incident (9) was when they came across “…metallic and rubber debris…found by Roswell Army Air Field (10) personnel, who issued a press release announcing possession of a “flying disc…on July 8, 1947, Roswell Army Air Field’s press release was broadcast via wire transmission.
The Army quickly retracted the release, falsely stating the crashed object was merely a conventional weather balloon….” This is also mentioned in F X história sadzieb (11). As you can imagine, the Roswell Incident, like Kenneth Arnold’s sightings, though reported- went unresearched. Unresearched and unnoticed. As soon as the word got out, the Roswell Incident was forgotten.
I am not sure if it was news of the sightings or World War II, but according to the Presidential Library of Dwight D. Eisenhower (12), starting in 1957 the President [Eisenhower] had, “approved a plan to orbit a scientific satellite as part of the International Geophysical Year (IGY) for the period July 1, 1957, to December 31, 1958, a cooperative effort to gather scientific data about the Earth…”
This plan sparked another change—the changing of the hands of NACA. As mentioned above, NACA was formed in 1915 as the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (5). It studied America’s aircrafts. In July of 1958, Eisenhower changed this to what we know today as NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 (13), aka NASA. The article I read uses the word “absorb,”…but I like to think that NASA ate NACA.
What you have read here is a list of different extraterrestrial things, whether they were sightings or the government preparing themselves for sightings. Outer space and “aliens” have been around forever. We, as a “collective society,” have known about them. I mean in the same sense that the religious community believes there is a higher power they’ve never seen. We’ve heard countless stories and listened to the government explain each of their excuses while building an agency to look into the matter simultaneously. It is like they were saying “no” while non-verbally shaking their head yes. This confusion has been going on for years.
The secrets have always been just that- secrets. Beyond us putting an actual human being on the moon, America’s level of interest in NASA and the things of the unknown have always been bleak.
I believe that. America’s interest in “space exploration” and all the things that were lost upon an uneventful moon landing. Before I go too
far, let me say- don’t come after me! We went to the moon and explored space; it was an AMAZING once-in-a-lifetime thing. Besides the fact that we were on the moon, that is where the excitement ends. I feel that had we “found” anything, it would have sparked more significant interest in society.
If you talk to my husband (the biggest space nerd), his conspiracy theories lead him to believe there were things found on the moon, and they were covered up along with everything else.
So, where does this leave us? In the dark. Still. No matter who says what and what says who, one thing is for sure: we still need to get the whole story. At this point, the government is just as elusive and unforthcoming as the “aliens” themselves.
Whether you think there are or are not outer-worldly beings- it is up to you and your perception of the universe. There are a few things throughout history that have not changed: the multiple reports of “sightings.” I stopped researching at 1639- but I am sure there are others, even earlier than that time frame. Also, the truth. Up until now, the government has yet to participate or willingly share the information they do have.
So now you are left to ask- are we, as a society, unphased by the news of “aliens,” OR are we just that untrusting of the people giving us that news?

According to the article: Whistleblower Alleges U.S. Government Is Covering Up Alien Life at UFO Hearing (1)
“…A Gallup poll (14) from 2019 found that 68 percent of Americans believe the U.S. government knows more about UFOs than it is sharing with the public. Meanwhile, 33 percent of polled U.S. adults believed that some of the UFO sightings have, in fact, been extraterrestrial spacecraft visiting Earth…”
