Wildfire preparedness tips from Lane Electric Coop

With fires around Lane County, now is the time for residents to make sure they are prepared for wildfire season. Lane Electric Cooperative has a free, easy-to-follow checklist that will bring peace of mind. To help educate the community on how they can prepare, local community fire response leaders from Oakridge and Row River can share three easy tips to prepare for wildfires: Prepare for possible shutoffs or evacuation, protect your home and neighborhood, and sign up for weather alerts. Lane Electric can also share more about how LEC prepares for wildfires year-round.

Let me know if you’re interested in speaking with Southern Willamette Forest Collaborative, Row River Fire Response and Lane Electric – happy to coordinate an interview.
