  A Blue Moon rising over Dead Mountain — Blue Moons are so named because they are rare, appearing only 7 times in 20 years. This photo was taken using Fuji X-T5 with a 70-300mm lens.

For those of you who remember “Bud” Long, his ranch, Bar-B-L is located high above Westfir to the east . The western most tip of the property looks down onto all of Westfir. From this vantage point, it’s a long, steep drop into the North Fork river valley below.
